I'm 27 years old. So, what's next?
I turned 27 a few days ago. I've never had any clear plan in mind regarding my life. Until now, I simply went with the flow. Actually, it's not always been the case. When I was about to go to the university, I knew what studies I wanted to do. And I was lucky enough to achieve it. I graduated from the university and then from the engineering school I wanted to attend. And that was my goal. Then I found a job, and it's been over 3.5 years. I'm glad to have this job and to be able have such great work conditions, but it's been 3.5 years without any clear objective.
Some people might have a career plan, that is not my case. Actually, I have an idea: I want to become a better software engineer. I also know that I want to train my functional programming abilities (well, I actually have to get it started first…) because I see myself doing functional programming at some point.
But work is just a part of someone's life! About my personal life, I don't have a project in mind, nor do I have many expectations. I'd like to be in a relationship, but I don't want to get married, and I most likely don't want to have children. I want to become a better person overall: I want to learn many things in a wide variety of topics, I want to become a better cook, I want to have a regular physical activity for my health (I can't find any motivation to do some sport…), and probably many other things.
So in the end, what's actually next? Tons of exciting things!
